Today I’m chatting with Dr. Neeta Bhushan, a world-renowned emotional health advocate and expert in the areas of grit and resilience. In this episode, we talk about her new book That Sucked. Now What?: How to Embrace the Joy in Chaos and Find Magic in the Mess, embracing the suck, and how to get back up after life inevitably knocks us down.
Join me for a thoughtful conversation with Megan Devine: best-selling author, psychotherapist, and grief advocate. With over 20 years in the field - and deep personal experience of grief - she is the go-to authority for grievers, supporters, and industry professionals. Her pioneering work provides a professional, inclusive, and realistic approach to grief, one that goes beyond pathology-based, reductive models. If you’re currently feeling the deep pain of loss or are looking for ways to support someone who is, this episode is for you.
They say when the student is ready, the teacher arrives, and that was most certainly the case with this week’s guest, Gangaji. I discovered Gangaji’s teachings in the depths of my recent breakup and her words sparked a profound journey deep within me. As a teacher and author, Gangaji meets with seekers from across the globe and in all walks of life. She shares her direct experience of the essential message she received from her teacher Papaji and offers it to all who want to discover a true and lasting fulfillment. Through her life and words, she powerfully articulates how it is really possible to discover the truth of who you are and be true to that discovery.
Part 2 of the much anticipated conversation with my partner Kylie on our breakup is here. We dive deeper into the imperative work that was required of both of us to be able to re-enter into right relationship, together. Both Ky and I explore the necessity of the rupture, our wounding and how we healed. Join us for Part 2 of this emotional conversation that further explores so many crucial topics from Part 1. Expanding, unpacking and dismantling old frameworks around what we were taught about relationship. Letting go of what no longer served us, to invite reconciliation.
When you don't stand in the truth of what, you're not going to get what you want - pretty simple right? Whether or not we decide to talk about our truth, it will always still live inside you. Not honouring our truth leads to small betrayals, which usually become giant betrayals later on and typically we can look back and see where we betrayed ourselves initially in order to get there. This week I share a personal story from my past where I self abandoned and didn't declare what I really wanted. The truth always sets us free, no matter how difficult it can be to say it
