You can’t maintain good mental health and be in a relationship with a toxic person.
You have to become toxic to participate in toxicity.
And the form of toxicity you have to adopt is one where you continue to put yourself in the space of continuously being wounded — as well as what the toxic relationship does to your body.
You have to give away your power and tell the story to yourself that you “don’t have a ‘choice’.”
In giving away your ability to choose, you’ll become anxious.
If that doesn’t wake you up, you’ll become depressed.
And then you’ll wonder what’s wrong with you that you’re anxious and depressed.
And I’m here to tell you that there’s nothing wrong with you. Those are perfectly normal responses to a toxic environment.
