I think a lot about how when Michelangelo was asked about carving David — and he said that he just removed everything that wasn’t him.
What if you oriented to yourself like that? What if it wasn’t so much about becoming anything? And more about allowing yourself to be revealed?
Ahhhh. The revelations of who we are… which is about first exploring and accepting what is trying to emerge… and then coming back into harmony with the information our bodies are trying to tell us… what aligns? What doesn’t?
I’m a firm believer that our suffering is largely due to being misaligned with our values, and in turn, our lives are built upon that misalignment. Our pain wakes us up to the spell we’ve been under… creating lives that just look like the lives of others… creating what we’re told to want. And then when we arrive there, we realize we don’t want it… at least not in the way we’ve created it.
Can we be with those realities? Can we hold the truth and allow it to be revealed?
When we emerge as our authentic selves, we invite others to do the same.
Let your life be that invitation.
Much love,
Mark
